Write for Postpartum+

Help write the guide you wish you'd had

Parents, dads and partners, grandparents, doulas and clinicians can ask to write for Postpartum+. We edit every piece with its author and check anything medical against public guidance before it goes up.

How it works

01

Tell us your idea

What you'd write about and why you're the person to write it. A paragraph is plenty.

02

We say yes, or suggest a turn

We reply within two weeks. Some ideas fit a guide we already have; we'll say so.

03

Write it together

You draft, we edit for clarity, length and safety. Anything medical is checked against public guidance from organizations such as ACOG, AAP, NIMH and PSI.

04

It goes up with your name

Or just your first name, or anonymously. You see the final version before it's published.

Our standards

  • Your own experience is welcome, in your own words.
  • Anything medical cites public guidance, and never replaces a person's own care team.
  • No selling: no products, practices or referral links.
  • Kind to every kind of family: feeding choices, birth stories, parents without partners.
  • Safe messaging about mental health, with the crisis numbers where they belong.

Why not an open wiki?

Families come here at vulnerable moments, often at 3 a.m. A guide anyone could change at any time could quietly become wrong or unsafe. Reviewing each piece with its author keeps the voices real and the facts right.
